About Come and See

Come and See is a series of classes about the Catholic faith. If you are looking to deepen your relationship with Jesus or to gain a fuller understanding of the teachings of the Catholic Church, this class is for you.

Who is it for?
This class is for everyone whether or not you belong to Mary Queen of Peace parish. Specifically, this class is directed at the following people. Inquirers who are not members of the Catholic Church, but would like to learn about the Church. Unbaptized persons who would like to be baptized and join the Catholic Church. Baptized Christians who would like to join the Catholic Church. Baptized Catholics who have walked away from their faith, and would like to return to the Church. Active Catholics who would like to continue to develop their faith in Jesus and his Church.

Do I have to come to every class?
If you are participating in the RCIA program (joining the Catholic Church) then you must attend all classes. All others are welcome to attend any and all classes that they desire, but we encourage you to commit to attending all of the classes to get the fullest experience of Come and See.

Are there books to buy?
We will be using the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Bible as our primary teaching tools for the program. These will be provided to those in the RCIA program at no cost. All others can choose to purchase the books if they do not already own them. You can also access free versions of each online. Catechism - http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/_INDEX.HTM
